Love is in the Metal!

Love is in the METAL…I mean air! Everywhere you look, you see beauty and things that symbolize love, love, love! That’s exactly the atmosphere Brigalias, a beautiful wedding venue, along with the help of us at Compass Ironworks has perfectly created. This venue, and our company, were the perfect marriage! (Ok enough with the cheesy jokes!) We have truly had the privilege of doing some remarkable projects for Brigalias in Sicklerville New Jersey.

Our first project was a breathtaking wrought iron stair railing. The wedding venue already had an exceptional staircase for the blushing bride, her groom, and their loved ones to take cherished photos on. They just needed a railing to complete the experience and bring those photos to the next level of elegance.  Needless to say, the first railing turned out beautifully! So, the client asked for an exact replica in another room on the opposite side of the building. To tie in the theme of love and beauty in more places around the venue, they requested two eye catching sculptures as well.

The first sculpture embodied love in its entirety. We call it the “love sculpture”. See for yourself why here:

The second sculpture was an intertwining heart sculpture perched on a beautiful base. It is a unforgettable and unique photo opportunity at this special venue! The entire metal heart sculpture stood 9 feet tall, took hundreds of hours to create, and was incredibly challenging to get the intertwining curves exactly right. To finish it off to perfection, we applied a simulated bronze. This finish type was every bit as daunting as the rest of the production, with its seven-step process. Due to how magnificent this piece of art turned out, we entered it into the NOMMA Top Job competition. In return, it received a national award! We are honored the client loved it as much as our peers did to provide us this title!

Compass ironworks is thrilled to be a part of such a spectacular design that incorporates iron railings, metal sculpture, rustic decor and dazzling architecture into one unforgettable venue. We are happy to help provide amazing photo opportunities for the newlyweds to preserve a special memory for years to come. Like we said, Love is in the Metal!
