A visionary was building an exceptional wedding venue at gate 3 to the Red Rocks Amphitheater. He wanted a pair of beautiful estate gates. He wanted them to enhance the prestige and beauty of the property, but also to provide privacy and security. Being right next to the park, the client wanted this property to be distinguished for tourist to easily recognize this as private and not crash someone’s wedding.
The client wanted an elegant driveway gate design that set the tone for the entire event space. He chose a design with hand-forged scrolls, custom cast collars and added custom cast bronze coins for his own exquisite signature piece.
We proposed the driveway gate to be built in aircraft-grade aluminum with ¾” square pickets. There was an extensive amount of hand-forged pieces, which required weeks of hard work. We used 2” square for the driveway gate frame and 2X1 for the intermediate frame. Also we used our “Million Dollar hinge”.
We created stunning driveway gate hinge posts with 10X10 square material and added trim detail along the top. Then we added a custom machined 6” round collar and finished it with a 12” ball on top. This made an awe-inspiring hinge post. We utilized heavy duty gate openers installed underground which limited the visual disruption allowing guests to fully take in the beauty of this property.
Also, we provided a wireless keypad that connected to the clients wireless devices as well as his office. We designed the entire driveway gate opener system to be as maintenance free as possible. Last, we powder-coated the entire project a custom blend that looks black, but when up close is has the dazzle of a red sheen to mimic the red rocks surrounding it.
