A custom home builder was building a beautiful home for a client in Ventner, New Jersey. The plans called for a custom spiral stair on the oceanfront for the clients to traverse from the first floor to the second-floor terrace. The location right at the beach meant that whatever spiral stairs were installed would be subjected to the harsh elements at the shore.
So we had to use certain alloys of aluminum exclusively, and use a certain finish on the spiral stair to be able to withstand the harsh elements at the shore. Corrosion would be detrimental to the visual aspects of the project and would compromise the safety and rigidity standards needed. They also wanted a more contemporary spiral stair design throughout.
So everything was built in either aircraft-grade or marine-grade aluminum.
The spiral stair design was also further enhanced with outside stringer and trim detail. Powder-coated super-durable white to withstand the elements at the shore, this spiral stair provides beauty and function to this New Jersey Shore Home.
