A client was building a custom home at the shore in New Jersey and wanted a beautiful wrought iron railing design. With dialog from us, the decision was made to utilize aircraft grade aluminum and replicate a house railing design from Italy.

This railing design had overlapping scrolls that created a heart and diamond pattern, cascading into a round knuckle on a round picket. All the railing scrolls were forged by hand, the knuckles were created from solid aluminum for this spectacular stair railing.

The home was designed in the mindset of an Italian villa and had radius front railing steps. There were numerous balcony, terrace, and stairs that required railing for code compliance. The most significant challenge was maintaining the visual harmony in the design for the stair railing.

The entire railing system was powder-coated with a special process to resist the harsh elements at the shore. These clients will have an exceptional NJ shore home that they can relax in and appreciate for years to come.
